Principal Right to Information Officer (AO7)
3-Month Contract | Immediate Start | Potential Extension
We are seeking an experienced AO7 Principal Right to Information Officer
to commence as soon as possible
on an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension.
This role sits within a Queensland Government environment and requires a highly capable professional with strong expertise in Right to Information (RTI) and Information Privacy (IP) legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process RTI applications, including exercising delegated decision-making authority where appropriate
- Provide high-level advice to senior executives and Ministerial offices on RTI and IP matters
- Support the development and maintenance of robust RTI and privacy systems, policies and procedures
- Contribute to legislative compliance, reporting and performance obligations
- Liaise with regulatory bodies to manage RTI and IP responsibilities
- Assist with privacy complaints, advice and information privacy reporting
About You:
- Demonstrated experience operating at an AO7 level (or equivalent) within RTI and privacy functions
- Strong knowledge of the RTI Act and IP Act within the Queensland public sector
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage complex matters with sound judgement and discretion
