We are working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Principal Consultant to join a small HR team in leading and supporting projects with an Industrial Relations focus.
About the Role
- Development and implementation of workforce policies and procedures;
- Support activities relating to enterprise bargaining;
- Industrial instrument interpretation;
- Technical and strategic advice on employment matters;
- Capability development initiatives and compliance activities.
Key Responsibilities will include;
- Leading and contributing to the research, analysis, development, implementation and review of employment and industrial relations issues, policies, strategies, and initiatives
- Collaborating, consulting, advising and negotiating with stakeholders to promote collaborative industrial relations;
- Leading consultation, feedback coordinator and approvals in line with governance requirements;
- Helping to solve industrial relations challenges through identifying issues, opportunities, risks, implications, strategies (including risk mitigation), and options for resolution; and preparing and presenting high level discussion papers, correspondence and briefing material relating to a range of complex employment relations issues.
- Supporting related team projects, such as the development of the mandatory training program
About you
- You will be a seasoned industrial relations specialist with a strong public sector focus.
- You will be someone who operates as part of a team that values continuous professional growth and supports a collaborative, inclusive, and positive workplace culture.
- You will have extensive experience in a similar role.
The Benefits
- $87.02 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
- 6-month contract
- Brisbane, CBD
- Monday to Friday, Full time hours (36.25 hrs)
- Flexible Working – Neg.
