Davidson is working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer.

About the Role

You will assist the Procurement Services team to deliver and manage high risk/complex tactical procurement and support capability uplift across the procurement network. Your role manages monthly data reconciliation, contract disclosure reporting and compliance monitoring.

You will assist with all aspects of developing and implementing business improvements to streamline and simply process and engagement with staff and use technology platforms such as PowerBI and Sharepoint to improve delivery of the procurement and contract management operating model and frameworks.

· Consult with, build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

· Ensure that procurement and contract management service delivery meets whole-of-Government requirements and is responsive to current and future needs.

· Undertake tender management from procurement planning through to contract award, providing procurement advice to stakeholders and exercise a procurement authorisation.

· Provide objective, professional input to the development and implementation of departmental procurement and contract management policies and frameworks including digitised solutions and process improvements.

· Contribute to the coordination and delivery of the Capability Program.

· Manage the communication forums for Procurement Services including Sharepoint content, Intranet and Community of Practice network.

· Perform relevant reporting functions including contract disclosure reporting, data integrity checking and the Forward Procurement Pipeline in accordance with the Queensland Procurement Policy.

· Develop the Quality Assurance Program and perform compliance monitoring of procurement and contract management activity.

· Other duties as directed and required.

· Proven ability to manage complex procurement processes and business processes.

· Sound Governance to uphold integrity through responsible management and use of processes and resources in compliance with the Queensland Government procurement and contract management frameworks.

The Benefits

· $78.02 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)

· 3-month contract, possible extension

· Brisbane, CBD

· Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
