We are working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor.
About the Role
In this pivotal role as the primary HR contact for this division, you will work closely with a nominated third-party agency to manage end-to-end recruitment processes for a significant number of predominantly executive-level positions.
Your efforts will ensure compliance with relevant department policies and procedures, while also fostering strategic partnerships to strengthen the division’s talent pipeline and support long-term success.
- External Partner Management: Manage all communications with external recruitment partners and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance, performance, and value-for-money outcomes.
- Stakeholder Training and Support: Train and guide hiring managers and stakeholders on recruitment best practices, tools, and processes.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior executives, hiring managers, and external providers.
- Performance Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to monitor recruitment performance and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Resource and Timeline Coordination: Manage resources and schedules to meet recruitment and project objectives effectively.
- Onboarding Management: Manage the departments HR system onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions and candidate care.
- Compliance and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records and ensure recruitment and onboarding activities align with compliance requirements.
About you
- Extensive Recruitment Experience: Proven expertise (5 years +) in managing large-scale, end-to-end recruitment processes at an executive level, particularly within a government setting or a similar environment.
- Engagement and Influencing Skills: Strong ability to engage with and influence Executive and Senior Leaders effectively as you will be the key liaison to the General Manager.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated high level of accuracy in handling recruitment processes, including maintaining thorough documentation and meeting reporting requirements.
- Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while proactively identifying and resolving recruitment challenges.
- Public Sector Expertise: Solid understanding of public sector policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
- HR Knowledge: Strong understanding of public sector policies, procedures, and legislative requirements and the ability to apply knowledge of policies, procedures, and instructional instruments effectively.
- Must be able to work in the office 100%.
The Benefits
- $77.02 to $82.40 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
- Contract up to November 2026
- Brisbane, CBD
- Monday to Friday, Full time hours (on-site)
