About the Company

We are working with a state government client who is seeking experienced Senior Advisor to join their team to support the Manager & Principal Team to ensure good governance and delivery is of high quality in a faced-paced project delivery environment.


About the Role

· Assist in implementing and maintaining governance systems that ensure compliance with project and departmental standards.

· Prepare governance reports and provide secretariat support for senior-level meetings, including agendas, minutes, and action tracking.

· Track project risks, issues, and performance metrics, ensuring timely escalation and mitigation strategies.

· Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure governance processes are understood and consistently applied.

· Oversee document control and information management for governance records, registers, and reporting materials.

· Managing project governance activities including Steering Committee secretariat duties and reviewing and updating various governance forums terms of reference and decision registers.

· Preparing high quality executive correspondence including briefing papers, information packs, and submissions.

· Supporting the project leadership team with managing interfaces with related projects including reviewing governance papers for interfacing projects.

· Manage project reporting and coordinate content input from team members.

· Support the team and Manager with project procurement and recruitment activities.


About you

· High level literacy skills to facilitate professional, clear and concise written and verbal communication, including an adaptive communication style targeting different audiences and communication mediums.

· Possession of a formal tertiary qualification and/or substantial experience in an advisory capacity, specifically in program/project delivery, policy and strategy development, and communication within a comparable organisation is highly desirable.

· High level administration and organisation skills.

· Experience within Queensland Government preferable.


The Benefits

· $77.02 to $82.40 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)

· Contract up to June 2026

· Brisbane, CBD

· Monday to Friday, Full time hours (36.25 hrs)
