About the Company

We are working with a state government client who is seeking a Security Fencing Advisor. This role will provide operational and specialist advice and support to the work unit with undertaking on site scope development and design documentation for fencing projects to be delivered under the Security Upgrades Program.


About the Role

  • Undertake on-site visits to schools to develop scope of works for capital works security fencing projects.
  • Develop scope of works documentation for project delivery of security fencing projects at schools.
  • Work with principals to confirm scope of works standards in accordance with school operations requirements.
  • Deliver documentation for provision to contractors for fence installation.
  • Undertake high level planning to develop the current packages for implementation with school and early childhood communities across Queensland to modernise and optimise school facilities.
  • Participate in teams involved in the formulation of innovative and workable solutions for related infrastructure, planning, asset management or project related services.
  • Assist with the preparation, analysis and presentation of data to ensure regular and accurate reporting on related activities.
  • Manage operational issues to ensure identified outcomes and timelines are met.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to support the day to day operations of the work team.
  • Provide professional input into continuous improvement activities to ensure the development and promotion of best practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies, guidelines and procedures regarding related infrastructure, planning, asset management or project activities.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Project scoping and documentation experience, especially in infrastructure or capital works.
  • Onsite assessment experience.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing scopes of work and reporting.
  • Travel by way of Department owned vehicles and plane, including overnight absences, will be a requirement of this position. Must hold a current valid Queensland Driver’s Licence.


The Benefits

  • $70.80 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
  • Contract up to June 2027
  • Brisbane, CBD
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
