- AO5 HR BP (Generalist) – 2-month contract
- AO5 HR (Projects) – 6-month contract
About the Role/s
As the HR Advisor, you will deliver a range of HR generalist services across the employment lifecycle to support business objectives. You will have the opportunity to assist in the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects that align to the Commission’s strategic workforce plan, while contributing to building a high performing, respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
- Provide quality HR generalist advice to ensure the consistent application and use of policies, procedures and relevant legislation which supports the business area to achieve its outcomes, and encourages a supportive, flexible and collaborative approach to employee management across the business.
- Partner with the senior management team to meet business needs and enhance workforce capabilities within the employee lifecycle, including:
- Employment conditions
- Recruitment and selection
- HR policy and procedure
- Learning and development
- Health, safety and wellbeing
- Actively contribute to, HR projects and initiatives, including collaborating and consulting with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
- Actively contribute to the development, implementation and review of human resources policy, procedures and guidelines.
- Analyse data and present accurate workforce information and reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and monitor the HR mailbox, attending to internal queries and providing HR support across the Commission.
- Monitor and update the Commissions HR intranet page (using SharePoint) to ensure all information is relevant and current.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are met in a timely manner.
- Foster a diverse workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations peoples of Australia.

About you
- Demonstrated experience is providing human resources advice and the ability to accurately interpret, analyse and apply employment-related legislation and workforce information.
- Experience in contributing to the development and implementation of HR projects and initiatives.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitator presentations and meetings.
- Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships to enable a collaborative delivery of customer-focused outcomes.
- Ability in fostering a culturally safe and inclusive environment, that encourages continuous learning and development.
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification and/or previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.

The Benefits
- $68.22 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
