Davidson is working with a state government who is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented professional to support complaint management processes and tribunal operations.


About the Role

Reporting to the AO7 Executive Officer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end co-ordination of Tribunal complaints, managing workflow from receipt through to final response. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality, timely and professional complaint handling while supporting senior stakeholders, including the President and Tribunal Members.

  • Co-ordinate the distribution, tracking and management of incoming complaints, maintaining accurate registers using Excel and eDOCS.
  • Acknowledge correspondence and provide general guidance and information to parties.
  • Prepare and co-ordinate complaint responses, liaising with the President, Tribunal Members and key stakeholders, escalating high-risk matters when required.
  • Support the President by collating complaints, draft responses and relevant documentation from court files.
  • Review and summarise recorded hearings to assist in the preparation of responses.
  • Allocate correspondence to appropriate officers for action and ensure follow-up within required timeframes.
  • Ensure all correspondence complies with departmental Style Guides and Ministerial and Executive Services Guidelines.
  • Provide accurate and timely advice to registry staff, judicial officers and decision-makers in a professional and approachable manner.
  • Build and maintain strong, respectful and confidential relationships with internal stakeholders, including judiciary members.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment to meet service standards and deadlines.
  • Apply problem-solving, negotiation and conflict management skills when dealing with clients and members of the public.


About You

  • Demonstrated experience in managing high-volume workflows, preferably within a registry, legal or government environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication to diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to analyse information, including reviewing and summarising complex materials such as hearing recordings or case files.
  • Strong digital literacy, with experience using case management systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build professional relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive and self-directed approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Demonstrated empathy and ability to engage respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds, delivering human-centred and trauma-aware services.
