Davidson is working with a state government client seeking an experienced Communications Officer to join their team on a contract basis.

About the Role/s

As an AO4 Communications Officer, reporting to the Communications and Media Manager, you will work collaboratively with senior communications professionals, project teams, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality communication outcomes across a range of channels.

  • Write, edit and distribute high-quality content for internal and external audiences, including campaign materials, website content (landing pages and blogs), media releases, emails, video scripts, social media and project collateral
  • Translate complex information into clear, engaging and audience-focused content
  • Ensure all communications align with established brand guidelines, content standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Support the delivery of digital marketing activities, including EDMs and campaign communications using marketing automation tools
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers (including designers and content creators) to deliver communication outputs
  • Manage multiple projects and competing deadlines, ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Assist with research, evaluation and continuous improvement of communication strategies and outputs
  • Provide administrative and coordination support relating to communications delivery

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in a communications role delivering content across multiple channels (digital, social, web, media and internal communications)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information into plain English
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to deliver effective communications outcomes
  • Experience managing competing priorities, with strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with brand guidelines, content governance and communication best practice
  • Exposure to digital content management systems and marketing automation platforms (e.g. Marketo) will be highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education, are highly desirable

The Benefits

  • $60.05 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
  • 6-month contract with potential extension
  • Brisbane CBD location
  • Flexible working arrangements – 2 to 3 days work from home
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
