Davidson is partnering with a state government client seeking an experienced Business Services Officer to support the Digital Customer (SSQ) division. This role suits a proactive and detail‑focused professional who thrives in a fast‑paced business services environment.


About the Role/s

As the Business Services Officer, you will deliver a range of high‑quality administrative, financial and business support services to the Digital Customer (SSQ) team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking a broad range of administrative duties including finance tasks, corporate card purchases, business improvement initiatives, office management and general business support services.
  • Contributing to the development, implementation, review and maintenance of internal systems, processes and work practices across finance, executive correspondence and corporate governance.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance existing practices and recommending, negotiating and implementing process improvements.
  • Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with intra‑agency and inter‑agency stakeholders to support effective outcomes.
  • Providing input into the development, communication and implementation of organisational initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption to teams.
  • Analysing, developing and recommending solutions to business problems using appropriate business analysis methodologies, modelling techniques, tools and standards.
  • Processing, reviewing and reconciling invoices in line with organisational policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely payment, and resolving any invoice‑related queries.


About You

  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to deliver high‑quality, accurate administrative support with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to guide, support and contribute to the development of team members, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • High‑level communication, interpersonal and consultative skills, with the capability to liaise and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confidence in presenting information clearly, structuring communication appropriately for various audiences, and building positive working relationships.
  • Professionalism, accountability and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products, office management systems and general office equipment.
  • Practical understanding and application of business process methodologies, including business process modelling.
