About the Role
As Project Support Officer, you will play a key role in providing high-quality administrative and operational support. Reporting to the Manager (Project Support Office), you will be responsible for a broad range of tasks that ensure the smooth functioning of the project team and its leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering comprehensive administrative support including database management, word processing, correspondence tracking, file management, and procurement of office supplies and equipment.
- Managing diary requirements for the Project Director, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, seminars, and conferences, and preparing agendas, notes, and minutes as required.
- Responding to and analysing enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, taking appropriate action on behalf of the Manager and Project Director.
- Supporting governance processes by maintaining and progressing correspondence and filing systems in line with government and departmental standards.
- Providing accurate and timely support across HR, finance, procurement, and other business functions.
- Acting as Local Systems Administrator (LSA) for the timesheet management system, including training and support.
- Supporting document control and records management, including archiving and guidance to team members.
- Participating in capability development activities and contributing to the Administration Support Network.
- Promoting a positive and values-driven culture across the business.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience supporting infrastructure projects, ideally within an engineering environment.
- Proven ability to provide high-level administrative support in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
- Strong skills in scheduling and calendar management for senior executives, including meeting coordination and minute-taking.
- Experience working within the public sector or large organisations, with a strong understanding of confidentiality and privacy obligations.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, resourceful, and resilient approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
The Benefits
- Earn up to $45.00 - $50.00 per hour + Super
- 6-month initial contract
- Brisbane city location
- Infrastructure experience would be great but not necessary
