Davidson is working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced AO3 Document Production Supervisor (Records). This is a full-time opportunity commencing in February through mid April 2026, with the role engaged on agency books and the potential for extension.



About the Role

Working within a small and collaborative Records Team, the Document Production Supervisor (Records) will provide high-quality document production and records management services across the department, as well as supporting broader business requirements.

In this role, you will support the business in meeting its legislative and operational obligations by delivering efficient, accurate, and confidential document production services. You will also assist with supervision, workflow coordination, and issue resolution within the team.

  • Provide best practice records management advice and services in line with legislative requirements
  • Deliver photocopying, printing, binding, collating, and indexing services, including the preparation of complex and confidential legal briefs
  • Provide document production services to the Department, supporting a diverse range of printing and binding requirements
  • Undertake copier meter readings and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure all equipment is efficiently used, well maintained, and regularly serviced
  • Perform minor maintenance on photocopying equipment when required
  • Assist team members with client service queries and issue resolution
  • Support the Document Production Coordinator with work allocation and supervision as required


About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring prior experience in records management and a strong understanding of document production within a legal or government environment.

  • At least 12 months’ experience working within a Records Management Team
  • Knowledge of the Public Records Act 2023
  • Experience using eDOCS and Elite ERP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive material
  • The ability to support and guide team members while maintaining high service standards




Exposure to Trauma and Vicarious Trauma

Applicants should be aware that work within the Records Team may involve exposure to disturbing or confronting material, including content relating to criminal activity or other distressing matters.

Strong support mechanisms are in place to reduce the impact of vicarious trauma and promote employee wellbeing, organisational effectiveness, and quality service delivery.
