About the Company

We are working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to provide high-quality administrative and digital support across a dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates initiative, and is passionate about contributing to organisational excellence.


About the Role

This role will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and broader stakeholders to deliver a range of administrative and digital support functions, including:

  • Providing accurate, timely, and high-quality administrative support including asset management, budget tracking, scheduling, note-taking, word processing, database administration, email/calendar management, and document preparation.
  • Supporting digital projects such as updating the Partners’ eHub, sending eNewsletters, and assisting with webinars.
  • Coordinating team and stakeholder meetings, including preparing and distributing meeting minutes.
  • Compiling written documents and reports, maintaining spreadsheets and registers, and providing timely information as required.
  • Responding promptly to requests for information and relaying relevant updates to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Planning and prioritising work effectively, meeting deadlines, and maintaining confidentiality while working autonomously with a high level of initiative.
  • Demonstrating strong oral communication skills, cultural awareness, diplomacy, and discretion in interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participating in the development, implementation, and review of internal systems, processes, and work practices.
  • Undertaking other duties as required to support the business unit.


About You

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality administrative support in a government or corporate setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High proficiency in digital tools and systems to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage sensitively and professionally with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and reliability.
  • A forward-thinking approach, anticipating future needs and helping the team adapt to change.

Eligibility Requirements

  • An Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid visa with work rights in Australia.
  • Able to provide evidence of your residency status or visa conditions during the selection process.
  • Willing to inform our client if your right to work in Australia changes.


Benefits:

  • $51.12 per hour + Super
  • Contract through until June 30 th 2026
  • Located in Brisbane CBD
