My client is a well-established, leading provider of services, programs and resources for the south east Queensland community. Within the Planning and Construction team, a large pipeline of projects is currently underway for the planning and construction of new facilities, and upgrades to existing facilities, across the State.

About the Role

The Analytics Officer will be responsible for the identification and collection of demographic and facilities data to support planning initiatives and project timelines.

Specific accountabilities include:

· Administration, examination, synthesis, conversion and analysis of demographic and statistical data to guide and inform future planning decision-making processes.

· Provision of support to senior staff and assist in generating written reports and recommendations to inform projects, expansions, and land acquisitions

· Respond to a range of enquiries in relation to technical, administrative or operational issues and provide information and solutions to resolve matters

· Provide advice to internal and external stakeholders and assist team members to complete activities and tasks to aid in performing demographic analysis

· Interpret policies, guidelines and procedures to determine the best course of action, ensuring legislative and procedural requirements are met and matters / issues are resolved.

· Help update Geospatial databases using the Esri Software Package and assist in utilising ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online to perform GIS analysis.

· Contribute to the ongoing capabilities of established information systems for relevant demographic and property data.

This role is based in Brisbane.



About you

To be considered for this unique career opportunity, it is preferrable you possess:

· A relevant degree (or currently studying) in social sciences, urban or town planning, geospatial analytics or property or other related field

· Ability to liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders

· A passion for planning and analytics

· Strong GIS and mapping systems experience and ability to acquire new knowledge quickly
