Our client is a not-for-profit service provider, and are seeking an experienced Accounts Officer to support their finance operations during a long-term leave cover period. The organisation is known for delivering essential community services and maintaining a supportive, people‑focused culture.
About the role
You will be responsible for processing invoices, managing financial data, and maintaining accurate records. This position suits someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail, and is confident working in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process and enter invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Review tax invoices and ensure correct coding
- Maintain financial tracking, including accruals and pre‑paids
- Manage and prioritise a shared inbox
- Prepare and maintain financial data and simple reporting
- Contribute to ongoing process improvements within the team
What’s on offer
- 9‑month fixed‑term contract
- $75,000 per annum plus super
- Hybrid work arrangement with 3 days each week working from home
- Flexible daily start time between 7am and 9am
- Free on‑site parking
Skills and experience
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (including lookups, pivot tables, filtering)
- Understanding of accruals and pre‑paids
- Ability to read and interpret tax invoices
- Confident using Microsoft Teams
- Strong accuracy, time management, and communication skills
- Experience in a high‑volume accounts environment is desirable
