As the company continues to expand, they are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts & Claims Officer to join their finance team in their East Brisbane office.

The Role

You will play a critical role in preparing, coordinating and managing client payment claims while supporting accounts receivable functions across multiple projects. This is not a standard AR position. Success in this role will come from your ability to manage large volumes of documentation, liaise with operational teams, and ensure payment claims are accurate, complete and submitted on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit client payment and progress claims
  • Compile claim packages including invoices, supporting documentation and project records
  • Review and reconcile supplier invoices against approved work and project requirements
  • Ensure supporting documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with client requirements
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams and Finance to gather claim information
  • Monitor claim submissions and payment status
  • Follow up outstanding payments and resolve client queries
  • Maintain accurate records and document control processes
  • Assist with accounts receivable administration and reporting
  • Support continuous improvement of claim and billing processes

About You

You are a highly organised administrator or accounts professional who enjoys working with detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.

Ideally, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Project Billing, Claims Administration or a similar role
  • Experience within the construction, infrastructure, engineering, trades or projects environment
  • Strong document management and reconciliation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Confidence managing high-volume documentation and multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
