About the Company

Davidson is working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to lead teams that manage audits whilst providing advice on better practices.


About the Role/s

· lead and project manage multiple medium to high complex audit engagements, ensuring the timely, effective and efficient achievement of the departments objectives including meeting quality and cost budget requirements

· lead and manage staff and activities to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, relevant

· legislative requirements, auditing standards and relevant IT security standards and better practices

· exercise professional judgement and ensure quality documentation and analysis to support audit conclusions, and recommendations to clients

· develop innovative approaches to audit and organisational improvement opportunities to achieve excellence in client service and cost-effective operations

· build team capability to meet current and future demands through effective coaching, mentoring and professional development strategies

· ensure adherence to the departments audit methodology, relevant Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards and IT security standards and better practices

· promote and model the established the departments core values of: Engage, Respect, Inspire, and Deliver

· take reasonable care for your own and others’ health and safety; follow health and safety instructions; and support and cooperate with health and safety systems, policies and procedures.


About you

· proven ability to lead a team, manage multiple audits with competing deadlines to deliver business outcomes to a high-quality standard and in a timely and cost-effective manner

· provide ongoing learning and development opportunities to build the capability of staff and actively managing employee performance

· advanced level of knowledge and the application of:

– Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards and relevant information security standards

– analysis of large data using various tools, including interest in furthering our use of data analytics and other innovative approaches

· advanced level of knowledge of information security risks, controls, risk mitigation strategies and information security better practices

· proven ability to develop and apply innovative ideas, the latest technologies, and new techniques while ensuring appropriate principles are maintained

· proven ability to manage and create effective relationships with all stakeholders within the department, across

· Government and Industry sectors provide insightful and valuable recommendations

· highly developed written and oral communication skills suitable for application to a variety of forums including

· high level client meetings and Reports to Parliament.


The Benefits

· $94.34 to $99.71 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)

· Contract role

· Brisbane, CBD

· Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
