About the Company

The Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) is focused on improving customer services for Queenslanders, supporting small and family businesses, and delivering better government services and support.

Within CDSB, Service Centre Operations provides whole-of-government services to the Queensland public through multiple channels, including phone, chat, counter and online. The division brings together technology, development, products, design, engagement and operations to deliver simpler, connected services.

About the Role

As the Workforce Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring workforce capacity is aligned with forecasts, employee availability, business requirements and service delivery targets.

You will develop and optimise workforce schedules and planning strategies, monitor workload and service levels in real time, and make timely adjustments to support operational performance.

Your responsibilities will also include analysing workforce data to produce forecasts, reports and actionable insights; maintaining workforce planning data and system configurations; providing resource management and workforce capability advice; and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

About You

You will bring experience leading complex initiatives, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, innovative problem-solving and exploring practical solution options.

  • The ability to build knowledge of resource management and support the delivery of agreed programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear, specialist advice to diverse stakeholders
  • An enthusiastic and engaging communication style that promotes collaboration and a strong team environment
