Davidson is working with a state government client seeking an experienced Senior Project Advisor to support a high priority, time-critical commercial transaction.


About the Role

Reporting to Legal Counsel, this role will play a critical part in supporting the commercial negotiation and implementation of a major contract variation. You will act as the central coordination point across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment between technical, legal, commercial and executive stakeholders.

This fast-paced position will see you driving momentum by managing governance processes, coordinating deliverables, and maintaining strong stakeholder engagement across internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams to support the successful delivery of a major contract variation process.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor project schedules, action registers, decision logs and deliverable trackers to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate inputs from internal stakeholders, external advisors and delivery partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information.
  • Manage document control, version management and comment resolution processes across complex stakeholder environments.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes and track actions, proactively following up to ensure progress and issue resolution.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of executive briefings, governance papers, presentations and decision-making documentation.
  • Monitor progress against milestones, identifying risks and issues and escalating where required.
  • Facilitate effective communication and information sharing to support informed decision making and stakeholder alignment.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and delivery partners.
  • Provide high-quality project coordination and governance support, ensuring information is accurate, current and accessible.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management, reporting and governance processes.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination or project support roles within commercial, procurement, construction or engineering environments.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, schedules, risks and dependencies.
  • Proven ability to work proactively and independently, exercising sound judgement to drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail with experience in document management, version control and information governance processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive timely outcomes across diverse groups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for executive audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Relevant qualifications in project management or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
