Davidson is partnering with a leading Queensland Government agency to recruit a Principal Advisor (Social Outcomes) supporting a major multi-billion-dollar infrastructure program.
About the Role
As the Principal Advisor (Social Outcomes), you will play a critical leadership role in driving social outcomes and local benefits across the project’s main works packages. This landmark rail infrastructure project will play a key role in supporting South East Queensland’s future growth and 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games legacy. Acting as the central point of contact for all social outcomes matters, you will work closely with contractors, internal teams and external stakeholders to maximise opportunities for local workers, small and First Nations businesses, social enterprises, and the broader community.
- Lead the social outcomes function for the project, acting as the central point of contact for all social outcomes–related content and enquiries
- Monitor, review and report on progress against social outcomes and local benefits commitments
- Develop strategies and problem-solve with contractors to address challenges in delivering social outcomes
- Facilitate and lead social outcomes meetings and workshops to drive alignment, accountability and shared understanding across project teams
- Maintain oversight of all social outcomes activities, identifying trends and risks and working proactively with project managers and internal stakeholders to manage issues
- Liaise with and support the Communications & Engagement team to develop and promote activities, events and opportunities with a social outcomes focus
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government, industry and community stakeholders to support collaborative delivery
- Provide high-level advice to senior management on social outcomes strategies, issues management and improving community relationships
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within major infrastructure or transport projects
- Experience working in social procurement
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities and develop proactive strategies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide strategic advice to senior management
- Demonstrated experience in data management, reporting and interrogating datasets using Microsoft tools such as Excel and Power BI
- Ability to provide sound governance advice on issues management, communication strategies and stakeholder relationship enhancement
- Degree in business, social science, communications or a related field, or at least five years’ relevant experience (highly desirable)+
- This role would suit candidates with backgrounds in social procurement, stakeholder engagement, ESG or community outcomes with major infrastructure projects.
Benefits
- $94.66 per hour + Super
- 12-month contract with possible extension and flexible working arrangements
