About the Company

Davidson is working with a state government client seeking an experienced A06 Senior Project Advisor to support the delivery of key strategic initiatives, with a strong focus on infrastructure management and project delivery.


About the Role

Reporting to the Program Director, the Senior Project Advisor plays a critical role in planning, managing and delivering projects, while providing high-level strategic advice and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement. The role is suitable to a candidate with experience supporting infrastructure, transport, operations or strategic government programs. Key responsibilities include:

Project Management

  • Support the Program Director to plan, manage and deliver projects within agreed timeframes, budgets and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain key project documentation, including project plans, risk registers and progress reports.
  • Monitor and evaluate project performance, identifying and addressing risks and issues proactively.

Strategic Advice and Support

  • Provide high-level advice and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Analyse complex issues, identify solutions and prepare briefing notes, reports and correspondence.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, frameworks and guidelines relevant to project delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Develop and implement communication and engagement strategies aligned with project objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups and industry partners.
  • Prepare project briefing materials.
  • Prepare high-quality communication materials, including presentations, newsletters, media releases and web content.
  • Support the facilitation of workshops, meetings and consultations to gather stakeholder input and feedback.

Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure projects comply with relevant legislation, policies and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure sound information management practices.
  • Support the preparation of governance reports and submissions for executive and ministerial consideration.



About You

  • Demonstrated experience in project management or advisory roles, ideally within government or infrastructure environments managing competing priorities.
  • Strong ability to provide strategic advice and manage complex issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing high-quality documentation and stakeholder materials.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Solid experience working within formal project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks will be highly regarded.
