Davidson is working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced AO6 Senior Advisor.
About the Role
As the AO6 Senior Advisor, Workforce Insights and HR Systems, you will play a pivotal role in transforming HR data into actionable insights that inform strategic workforce decisions. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality workforce analytics, leading continuous improvement initiatives in reporting, and optimising HR systems to support the department’s strategic goals.
This role sits within the Workforce Insights and HR Systems team, part of the broader Human Resources function. You will work closely with HR Business Partners and specialist teams to deliver meaningful data insights and system support that drive workforce strategy and performance.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver accurate and timely workforce analysis and reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
· Lead improvements in workforce reporting processes, focusing on automation and efficiency.
· Manage ad hoc reporting requests, ensuring responsiveness and alignment with client needs.
· Provide expert advice and interpretation of HR data to stakeholders.
· Build capability across HR and the business in using self-service reporting tools.
· Act as a subject matter expert on HR projects involving reporting and systems.
· Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, integrating data from multiple sources.
· Oversee HR system administration and user support, ensuring effective operation and issue resolution.
About You
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
· Experience using Power BI and Excel for data analysis and visualisation.
· A collaborative approach and proven ability to build strong working relationships.
· Motivation to work independently and as part of a team to deliver results.
· A commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in HR systems and reporting.
