Davidson supports STEPtember
Lily's story and learning about Cerebral Palsy

"Hi, I'm Lily. I work at Davidson in Melbourne. I have cerebral palsy. Every person with cerebral palsy is different. Some have it on one side of their body. Some have it on both legs. Some have it everywhere. I know it's hard, but we are strong.
"Every day, new babies are born with cerebral palsy. It's important to help and understand. We're all different, but we all try our best every day.
"I am taking on a big challenge in September. I will be moving 10,000 steps every day. Why? Because I want to help others. Every dollar we raise helps in research, treatments, and giving tools to people with cerebral palsy to make their lives better. Your support means a lot. Let's support each other."
About Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral palsy is a condition that affects movement and muscle control. It happens because of how the brain develops, often before birth. There are different kinds:
- Right Hemisphere Cerebral Palsy: One side of the body is affected.
- Diplegia Cerebral Palsy: Mostly the legs have challenges, sometimes the arms
- Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy: Both arms and legs are affected
People with cerebral palsy experience the world in their unique way, and just like everyone else, they have dreams, feelings, and ambitions.
STEPtember at Davidson
In September, people all over the world walk and help cerebral palsy. Davidson is helping too, and we’re proud to be a part of it. We can all learn and help together.
