About the Role
Operating within the Office of the Executive Director, Technical Services, the Project Support and Controls Officer
will provide efficient and effective project and executive support to the Executive Director and Principal Project Officer.
This varied role will have a strong focus on coordinating business documentation, supporting governance and reporting requirements, and identifying opportunities for continuous business improvement.
Key responsibilities include coordinating high-level corporate documentation and processes, including conflicts of interest, Parliamentary and Estimates processes; preparing correspondence, briefs and reports; and liaising with departmental officers and senior government stakeholders.
You will also support high-priority and emerging business activities, assist with Business Unit reporting, undertake procurement activities and provide day-to-day assistance to the Executive Director. The role uses systems including Aurion, SAP and PowerBI to generate reports and analyse and interpret information.
About You
You will be a capable and adaptable professional who can manage competing priorities, work effectively under pressure and deliver quality outcomes within deadlines.
You will bring strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, sound judgement and the ability to build productive relationships with stakeholders at different levels.
Previous experience working within a public sector Senior Executive or Senior Officer office is desirable. Experience using Aurion, SAP, PowerBI or other information-system reporting tools will be highly regarded, as will the ability to quickly develop knowledge of new systems and databases.
You will demonstrate professionalism, accountability and sound governance, with a commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative delivery.
