Job Description

The Company

Our client is an Australian owned organisation with global reach across 6 continents. They are established as a pioneering force in its field and have been operating for over 30 years. They are now in the process of recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor for a permanent position based in Brisbane.

The Role

  • As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of the work and maximizing productivity of our warehouse.
  • Perform a range of inventory control activities to facilitate the efficient operation and effective day to day running of the warehousing functions.
  • Lead your team, and influence other teams, to achieve operational and individual goals.
  • Conduct annual performance management and development meetings with team members.
  • The receiving and shipping of goods and products to and from it's Customers and Branch offices. Domestic and International shipping is required.
  • Ensure accurate storage at correct locations & part numbers to avoid stock loss and incorrect stock counts
  • Input all appropriate data into the company's Operating Systems.
  • Disseminate all received goods to appropriate store location or person.
  • Check and prepare goods for dispatch from stock.
  • Package goods in an appropriate manner so as to ensure safe delivery to customer.

The Role

  • Have previous experience as a store person in a standalone capacity.
  • Solid and accurate data entry skills.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft packages especially Excel.
  • Experience in stocktake.
  • Ability to monitor and be responsible for inventory levels.
  • Use of an ERP system for purchasing and inventory.
  • Forklift licence.
  • International freight experience.
  • Familiar with DG freight regulation.
  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
  • Familiar with Dangerous Goods packing and shipment documents.
  • Willingness to learn.
