About the Organisation

Local Council based in Sth East Suburbs...Melbourne.

About the Role

Assisting in the implementation of the Digital Transformation will act as a conduit between the Council and its customers to obtain insights into their customer experiences and inform service design changes required to improve their service delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing scripts for stakeholder and customer interviews/workshops.
  • Conducting research inclusive of user interviews or workshops with customers to determine the customer experience of specific services.
  • Translating customer research into personas and create user stories.
  • Creating user flows and wireframes to build user interface mock ups including both low and high fidelity prototypes.
  • Testing prototypes and proof of concepts with customers and iterate prototypes based off customer engagement.
  • Working with team members to develop business cases for service redesign approval.

About You

You need to enjoy listening to customers, there ideas, pain points and questions. You also need to have:

  • Relevant qualifications and demonstrated experience in user experience design or a relevant discipline in a large, complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and application of customer centred design processes and methods.
  • Demonstrated experience working in collaboration with customers to develop and iteratively test ideas for improving services and products.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data to develop customer insights as a means of understanding user needs, wants and behaviour and improving services and products.
  • Demonstrated experience using agile methods in project delivery.
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills with the ability to establish and maintain useful partnerships with people at all levels, through consistent actions, values and communication
