About the Role

  • Develop, implement and evaluate an effective community travel program, focused on boosting bike riding using a corridor based approach
  • Develop and deliver projects and investigations, linked to improving the community's travel choices
  • Complete program budgets, project plans, and regular reporting on the effectiveness of Council's community travel program initiatives to internal and external audiences
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Transport Choices, Project Services and Communications & Engagement departments in the delivery of projects, programs, consultation and engagement.

About You
To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Experience across the life-cycle of trans[ort projects and behaviour change initiatives- preferably within the local government space
  • A tertiary qualification in urban planning, transport, engineering or related field is necessary
  • Strong project management and coordination skills with a track record of successfully designing, implementing and evaluating transport improvement projects and behaviour change initiatives
  • Knowledge and experience in developing projects that respond to the motivators, barriers and benefits of various travel choices
  • Experience in developing and communicating engaging messages, community engagement and gaining cooperation to successfully deliver projects
