About the Role

Social Marketing Researcher -Subject Matter Expert AO7 Job in Brisbane - SEEK

The Subject Matter Expert in Social Marketing Research will support the customer experience transformation program by working with internal clients to design and deliver customer research tailored to business requirements. In doing so, the role will support a whole-of-organisation approach to improving customer experience through rigorous and evidence-based customer research and co-design.Our customers are the focus of everything we do in Customer Experience. To be successful in this role the candidate will work actively to understand and advocate for our customers and will engage with our customers and stakeholders in a respectful and responsive manner.This role will also support a range of initiatives under with a particular focus on designing and delivering customer insight by designing and delivering customer surveys through our online customer research panel.The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of a range of qualitative and quantitative social research methods, including research design, analysis and reporting. The role will be expected to draw on this understanding to design rigorous research activities that build client confidence in customer research and the actionable insights delivered.The role requires specialist expertise in the design and delivery of social science/social marketing research and the capacity to apply this expertise to meet business requirements. Formal training in social science/social marketing will be a prerequisite for the role. Experience in operating the Qualtrics survey platform or similar will be an advantage.


About You

Social Marketing Researcher -Subject Matter Expert AO7 Job in Brisbane

  • Understand both Customer Experience and client business requirements (and, as appropriate, help to define/refine same with other team members)
  • Able to understand and articulate how operation of the customer research adds value to the business and to ability to manage work priorities accordingly
  • The design and application of customer research and client business requirements, including framing of customer research questions, the identification of appropriate research methods and the delivery and reporting of actionable insights.
  • The application of a range of qualitative and quantitative social research methods including data collection (for example, through customer observation, customer surveys, customer interviews and focus groups), data analysis and interpretation as well as the creation of reports and presentations
  • The ability to persuasively engage, advise and educate clients and stakeholders on the application of customer insight to improve customer experience in a way that creates value for customers
  • Provide actionable and evidence-based insights to inform business decisions, activities and product or service development initiatives.
  • The application of research through digital technology, including the statistical packages and research platforms such as the Qualtrics technology platform which is being used to support the application of customer research through the Customer Research Panel.
candidates with a background in academic research, especially in social/behavioural science will be highly regarded. A strong background in quantitative analysis will also be considered very favourably. experience with the online research platform, 'Qualtrics', would be a big plus.
