Job Description

Our client is a large player in the non-profit sector, responsible for the ongoing training and mentoring of its 8000 members. Currently entering a major transformation, there is now a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join on an initial 12 month FTC contract, working across a variety of projects and uplifts.

Key responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage project delivery from beginning to end
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables and benefits that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Define and track the budgets of projects
  • Develop and maintain project artifacts including project initiation documents (e.g. PID), communication plans, project logs, stakeholder matrices, risk assessments, project reports, post implementation reviews (PIR) etc.
  • Manage vendor relationships
  • Draft and submit project initiation proposals for submission and subsequent approvals through the establish project governance framework
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Work closely with business owner to confirm the continuation of business justification and appropriate confirmation of project viability at each stage gate.
  • Conduct project post-implementation reviews (PIRs) and create recommendations reports to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements
About you:

You'll need to have a collaborative mindset with a solid background of project managing Technology Transformations
  • Experience in delivering technology transformation projects
  • A demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Capable of leading and influencing in diverse teams in a project environment
  • Track record of working with 3rd party vendor/supplier project teams
  • Exposure to the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly skilled in senior stakeholder management including board level
  • Experience in presenting to the board and producing board packs
  • Highly skilled in resource planning and conflict resolution
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Flexible during times of change
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and in MS Project
  • Ability to effectively prioritise own and team tasks as well as execute tasks is crucial
  • Good understanding of project management methodologies, such as Prince2
