Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating policy development and assisting with advocacy on a range of policy issues. As an experienced Policy Advisor, you will work with the policy team and specialist departments to identify, research and prepare detailed policy work to support the organisation as well as identifying strategic policy opportunities. These initiatives will be driven through relationships developed with key stakeholders such as members, other associations, academia and government departments. As a key member of the organisation, you will be required to provide expert advice to the executive team as well as external stakeholders. Your other responsibilities will extend out to and include oversight of Master Builders Victoria's committees, special project work and research, input to major submissions and drafting of policy, together with related correspondence and communications materials. This role presents the opportunity to help shape the future of one of Victoria's largest industries.

You are a highly regarded policy expert. You have developed your policy career within a complex specialisation and have the ability to further develop your career within an ever-changing and dynamic environment. Tertiary qualified in public policy, commerce, law, politics, economics or a related field is highly desirable. Importantly you pride yourself on your communication and ability to thrive working with complex policy issues. You are renowned for your ability to produce articulate, concise and persuasive information tailored to a wide variety of audiences.
