SA Water is a public corporation committed to providing world class water and sewerage services to the state of South Australia with more than 1.7 million customers.
The SA Water team, consisting of around 1,500 people, are passionate and dedicated to protecting and managing the state's water resources across a $14 billion network of assets, including 27,000 kilometres of water mains, more than 40 water treatment plants, four major desalination plants and 32 reservoirs and weirs. In addition to providing these essential services, SA Water provides water testing services nationally through the Australian Water Quality Centre brand.
Following the merger of two key departments in SA Water: economic regulation and pricing, a unique opportunity now exists for a Senior Manager to lead both departments as one united and collaborative team. As the Senior Manager Economic Regulation and Pricing, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead and maintain SA Water's relationship with ESCOSA (the regulator), lead and influence the development of SA Water's ESCOSA submissions while ensuring economic regulatory obligations and regulatory compliance expectations are met. Concurrently, you will ensure the delivery of high quality and timely revenue, demand and price modelling to underpin SA Water's Regulatory Proposal to ESCOSA, yearly price modelling and setting with government and ongoing commercial price modelling for business development within SA Water. You will ensure the continuation of a financially viable revenue stream for SA Water to deliver fair and efficient prices and trusted water services to their diverse customer base to support economic growth and to protect the long-term interests of SA Water and their customers.
To be considered for this enviable opportunity, SA Water are seeking a proven strategic leader who is future focused and well planned with significant experience working in a highly regulated environment. You will be a specialist in both Economic Regulation (and particularly developing regulatory submissions) and Price Modelling. You demonstrate exemplary communication skills and are adept at establishing credible and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to your organisation. Furthermore, and you are highly regarded for your exemplary people leadership with a strong focus on high performance and collaboration in your teams. Qualifications in economics, mathematics, commerce or government policy would be highly desirable.
