Some information on the position
Wyndham Council is looking for a Senior Landfill Construction Engineer to construct and rehabilitate landfill cells and associated stormwater, leachate and landfill gas infrastructure at the Wyndham Refuse Disposal Facility at Werribee. The facility is one of Melbourne's largest landfills, accepting waste from local government and commercial clients across metropolitan Melbourne. This is an end-to-end project management role involving all aspects of the planning, design, approvals and delivery of works.
With a design for 7ha landfill cell soon to go to market, we are looking for an experienced project manager who can hit the ground running and be rewarded with a completed landfill cell by March 2021.

What you will bring to the role
The successful applicant to the Senior Landfill Construction Engineer will be able to demonstrate;

  • Experience and success in landfill construction projects
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (Civil Engineering or related)
  • A proven track record in Contract Management (contractors and consultancies)
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and practices and a safety first approach to work
  • Excellent project management skills
