  • they are not, nor have been, a health practitioner or registered as a health practitioner.

A person is qualified and eligible for appointment to a professional panel only if:

  • they are registered with a National Board for the profession for which the panel is established
  • they have sufficient experience, knowledge, skills and standing in the community relevant to the functions of assessors
  • they are not a member of a National Board, and
  • they are a registered health practitioner whose registration is effective and is not subject to conditions or undertakings.

There is a preference for Brisbane based assessors, but this should not preclude those living in remote and regional areas of Queensland from applying.
