About the role

This position is responsible for managing and effecting the organisational change required for the successful implementation of the HRIS.
Reporting to the Project Director and Project Managers, your key accountabilities will include:
  • Develop an effective and practical organisational change management strategy, in conjunction with the Agencies.
  • Work with the Agencies to develop tactics to effect the organisational changes required to support the implementation of HRIS.
  • Work with the Agencies to identify and address the organisational impacts and any risks associated with the implementation of the HRIS.
  • Provide consultation and advice to Agency Business Change Leads and their teams to support them to identify and manage their agency resources to develop and execute an Agency Transition and Implementation Plan to ensure their business is ready to adopt and use HRIS Program technical solutions from Agency Go Live.
  • Track and manage the organisational change dependencies across the stakeholder groups.
  • Plan, Lead and Facilitate workshops and meetings with internal and external stakeholders as required.
  • Provide expert strategic advice and leadership to the Program Director, Project Managers and the Agencies on successful organisational change management, ensuring all necessary change management elements are embedded in plans and any related policies, processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure project plans, schedules and organisational change strategies, plans and activities are synchronised and consistently executed across the HRIS Program.
  • Develop, implement and monitor change management strategies and plans such as:
    • Change and Transition Strategies/Plans
    • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Management Plans
    • Training Plans
    • Change Impact Assessments and Change Management Action Plans
    • Implementation Strategies/ Plans.
  • Work collaboratively with Agencies Business Change Leads to provide HRIS Program Director with change readiness and training status to inform Program Board decisions about Agency Go Live.
  • Coordinate change team resources to develop training materials to provide systems familiarisation training to Agencies to support the implementation of the HRIS Program solutions.
  • Develop Training Strategies, plans and approaches to support the Agency implementation of the HRIS Program solution to ensure all training is programmed, coordinated, delivered and monitored. Evaluate results, present findings in a logical and easy to understand manner.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of internal and external communication material, including electronic and face-to-face formats.

Your suitability for this role will be assessed against how you;

  • Demonstrate recent experience in creation and articulation of Change and Transition Management, Communication, Stakeholder Engagement and Training Strategies and Plans for large, complex private sector or Government organisations.
  • Demonstrate recent experience in the delivery of supportive change and transition strategies and activities to support the implementation of large, complex business transformation programs of work involving delivery of ICT ERP or HR/Payroll solutions.
  • Demonstrate experience in leading and motivating multi-disciplinary, multi-agency resources.
  • Formal qualifications and/or certification in Change Management frameworks/methodologies (ie Prosci / CMI) or equivalent work experience
  • Interpersonal skills of a high order, with emphasis on relationship management and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to develop communication materials to support the change and transition activities
  • Advanced knowledge of drawing products such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint to develop graphical artefacts including flyers, newsletters, flow diagrams
  • Superior skills in the production of written, verbal and presentation material.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the methods and processes used to implement change in large, complex, 24x7, geographically dispersed organisations
  • An understanding of the theories of organisational behaviour and human motivation
  • An understanding of program and project management principles and the issues that can arise from the management of ICT initiatives
  • Work collaboratively and form productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders e.g. Program Director, Managers, Project Managers, Agency (Client) Executive, Agency (client) representatives, subject matter experts, vendors and providers.
  • Promote and build an awareness of ethical conduct within the workplace and lead by example.
  • Demonstrate leadership of your discipline.
  • Cultivate a work culture that involves a healthy balance of collaboration and autonomy.

Qualifications in PRINCE2/MSP, Communications, Organisational Change Management, Psychology or similar discipline will be highly regarded.
