Having recently embarked on a new strategy driving towards revenue and profit growth, this organisation and the Executive leadership team continue to focus on delivering a quality service to their customer base. Providing IT asset management services, they have a strong track record as a private business in delivering services to enterprises in key market verticals including defence, health, government and financial services.

About the Role

The role of National Sales Manager reports to the CEO and as part of the executive leadership team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategic development of the overall business in a rapidly emerging market. The main purpose of this role is to successfully achieve and maximise revenue whilst growing the company's profit targets. You'll do this by identifying and managing new sales opportunities, partnering with the current client business, and growing exisiting clients. This role will be leading a highly motivated national sales team of 17 throughout Australia, while continuing to support and grow the sales team over the next 12 months.

Your Focus

This role goes hand in hand with growing the organisation's revenue and market share. With that in mind, it is expected that within the first 6-12 months you will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a tangible increase in the rate of pipeline growth and identify forward-looking reports metrics
  • Increase the capability of the sales team along with the intensity of the sales process
  • Review and enhance KPI's and ensure the national sales team are successfully achieving their targets on a day to day basis
  • Ensure customers are satisfied with the sales experience and the relevant improvements are made and communicated with the wider business
  • Establish the business as the go-to experts as a brand nationally within their field
  • A sound understanding of building vertical markets to gain further success including direct and partner channels
  • Grow the sales team/performance manage underperforming members of staff
  • Working with the executive team on approaches to building business overall
  • Review and improve the company sales strategy across the business

About You

  • Professional sales background and leading a national team in having sold IT/lifecycle services into tier 1 B2B clients
  • Experience selling into enterprise-level accounts across government, financial services, defence and government
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proven successful execution of sales targets nationally in previous roles
  • Enthusiastic, driven, dynamic will the ability to successfully lead a national sales team
  • Strong negotiation, communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to successfully communicate with both internal and external stakeholders of the business including the Board of Directors
  • Willingness and ability to travel when required
