The Emergency Services Telecommunications Authority (ESTA) provides the critical link between the community and emergency services for all "000" calls. Partnering with Emergency Management Victoria and Victoria's Police, Ambulance, and Fire and SES agencies, ESTA facilitates community driven outcomes every day of the year. The provision of life-saving emergency call- taking and dispatch for all Victorians requires dedicated professional people and sophisticated technical systems.
The Manager Workplace Relations is a newly defined role reporting directly to the Executive, People, Capability and Reputation. As part of the People and Capability team, the Manager Workplace Relations will be seen as a trusted advisor, attune to delivering best practice and risk insights in order to achieve organisational objectives in addition to case management and the resolution of complaints and disputes. The role proactively ensures the leadership team are better equipped to facilitate change and manage issues across the organisation with confidence transparency and fairness. With a proactive and hands-on approach you will lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations and key workforce initiatives ensuring good governance within the parameters of the strategy and Victorian public sector requirements. You will take a long-term view in your advice and develop the roadmap for strategic workforce objectives.
To be considered for the Workplace Relations Manager, you will have developed your career within a fast paced demanding environment, leading long term strategic workplace relations outcomes within a highly unionised and complex environment. Ideally you will have gained experience from within the public sector, or a large service-based multi unionised workplace environment. You will be renowned as a subject matter expert and possess strong technical skills and knowledge of relevant legislation and demonstrate hands on success in advocacy, dispute resolution, and complex EBA negotiations. You will be an approachable, patient and collaborative leader who enjoys coaching and mentoring leaders across an organisation to ensure they are better equipped to manage IR and ER matters. This role will require a confident leader with exceptional interpersonal skills to develop key stakeholder relations with Unions, government and other external key stakeholders. As this is a high profile role you will be required to provide advice and recommendations to the Executive team and Board Committees on a regular basis.
