About the role
This newly created senior role will lead the implementation of a business partnering model to provide support to internal business units and the Board in strategy and governance priorities. Pivotal in engaging senior management, aligning resources to business goals and developing capability in policy, compliance, strategy, business intelligence and high level administration, the role will instill transformational behaviours and systems to support effective performance. Working closely with the Director, the position is 2IC within the team.
Key attributes for this role include experience in building relationships, leading a strategic function and business transformation. The opportunity would suit a proven senior leader who can credibly communicate and engage, think strategically and deliver practical outcomes that add value to business. You will excel at both written and verbal communication, be committed to quality and timely delivery and focussed on change and continual improvement in a corporate services setting.
You will have demonstrated confidence and capability to provide leadership and to motivate a team to deliver; diplomatically challenge the status quo; and be adept with managing relationships with a range of stakeholders, including senior executives and Board members. Whilst your initial focus will be building our approach and capability in strategy and governance business partnering, you will have the opportunity to lead operational aspects of the team such as planning and performance and oversee a number of corporate projects. Therefore, having effective project management skills, a 'can do attitude' and a preparedness to be hands-on will be of great benefit. Finally, knowledge of an ICT environment would be beneficial but not mandatory.
