Reporting to the Director Communications, Engagement and Advocacy, this is a fantastic opportunity for a creative, strategic communications specialist to drive contemporary, innovative, digital, customer first communication strategies and initiatives within their team and across Council. You will quickly establish yourself as a trusted advisor, providing sound and timely strategic advice to Council, the CEO, your Director and the broader Executive Management Team. Concurrently, you will lead the provision of a centralised service support model that ensures your team provides communications expertise to all Departments across Council.

To be considered for this enviable opportunity, you will be a proven strategic communications leader with demonstrated experience driving contemporary digital communication strategies in a large complex customer / community focused organisation. You are politically astute, demonstrate high levels of emotional intelligence and are resilient to changing circumstances and priorities. You are highly regarded for your exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and trusted for your advice. Furthermore, you demonstrate empowering staff leadership and the ability to drive high performance in your teams.
