The Institute of Public Administration Australia (Victoria) (IPAA Victoria), is the not-for-profit professional association for public sector professionals across all three levels of government in Victoria; as well as those in the community, tertiary education and corporate sectors who work with the public sector. IPAA Victoria is a thought leader on the evolution of the public sector in a time of rapid technological, social and other changes. IPAA Victoria designs and delivers innovative professional development programs and events, administers awards and provides high-level networking opportunities across government.
The Manager Research and Evaluation will have responsibility for critically evaluating the organisation's programs, events and other offerings and reviewing / researching industry trends to help predict and identifying future opportunities for enhancement. This role will contribute to the implementation of the soon-to-be completed Program Strategy and will develop a research plan to build on and enhance the policy and research capability within IPAA Victoria and identify opportunities for closer connections between academics, industry and public sector practitioners.
To be successful in this role you will have a proven background in research and evaluation, ideally within the public sector. You have lived and breathed the public sector ecosystem and have a good understanding of how the three levels government interact. You have experience formulating strategic insights and identifying industry trends. Your detailed research plans have shaped a new direction for the companies to pursue and your evaluation of programs and events has seen the organisation and key stakeholders benefit.
