Reporting to the Director Environment and Engineering, you will provide leadership and guidance across the Recreation, Projects & Parks group, including the provision of functions and services that support community activity and well-being across the municipality. Within a dynamic and results focused operating environment, you will deliver a $28m Capital works program, manage an $18m operating budget, lead 107 staff, oversee significant operational contracts, promote a collaborative and high performance culture and support and drive efficiencies. You will engage with critical areas of the organisation and build strong relationships with the wider leadership team.
You will have experience leading Recreation, Projects and/or Parks teams to deliver quality, effective, responsive and efficient customer focused services. Your ability to engage key stakeholders and provide exceptional leadership, motivation and empowerment to your team will be critical to your success. Further, you bring proven technical problem solving skills and political savvy. You will demonstrate extensive experience in capital delivery and contract management. You actively seek out challenging and rewarding work and strive to make a difference in the community.
