As a key member member of Councils management team, the Manager Operations will be expected to exude the exemplary leadership attributes that exist already in the team and that model collaboration, commitment to excellence and innovative thinking.

Reporting to the General Manager - Infrastructure, Assets and Planning, the Manager Operations will develop, maintain and coordinate effective delivery of operational services for Central Goldfields Shire Council, including maintaining and improving Council's parks and gardens, buildings and street furniture including cleaning of buildings facilities such as public toilets, and maintaining and improving roads, footpaths drains and bridges. Furthermore, the Manager Operations will work collaboratively with all areas of Council, Councillors, community members, relevant external agencies and government departments and will contribute to the long term strategic and financial direction of Council.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity Central Goldfields Shire Council are seeking a highly motivated and innovative leader who has experience leading operational teams in a service delivery environment. You will drive a high performance culture within your teams, which include blue collar professionals. You will continue the good work already in place around identifying efficiency opportunities and maintain strong reporting standards around KPI's including incident response, safety and budget to name a few. You possess an engaging interpersonal style, the ability to build strong rapport and a commitment to building relationships, as you will be leading relationships with various stakeholders including contractors, government agencies and the community.
