Reporting to the General Manager City Assets and Environment, the Manager Infrastructure will manage one of the biggest and most significant departments across Council. As such, this is a critical role for Council, responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to a team responsible for the planning, creation, development and maintenance of Council's civil infrastructure assets and waste management as well as emergency management response and preparedness. The Manager Infrastructure will build trusted relationships and provide strategic advice to internal and external stakeholders on opportunities to respond to an evolving community in its physical and social structures.
A well-established portfolio offers the Manager the opportunity to bring a continuous improvement lens and best practice and leading-edge solutions to project management, capital delivery and asset management.
This is a demanding role with a large team and potential for the portfolio to expand further so to be considered, the City of Kingston are seeking a proven leader with experience leading large complex portfolio's and multi-disciplinary teams incorporating civil engineering design, construction and delivery; asset management; project and contract management within Local Government or the broader public sector.
You hold tertiary qualifications in civil engineering or equivalent and demonstrate exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with a proven capability to engage with your community; your Councillors and across council.
You are highly regarded for your inspirational staff leadership and ability to drive ground-breaking continuous improvement through contemporary technology, systems and processes.
