What will you do?
Reporting to the Group Manager Community Programs, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and empowering leadership to a diverse portfolio which includes Economic Development, Tourism, Community and Council Events, Arts and Culture, Community Venues and Council's Grants and Partnerships.

You will drive the delivery of high quality, groundbreaking business development initiatives which enhance the growth of the local economy; deliver tourism activities, drive the development of a vibrant and progressive arts and culture program and deliver a focused and well-administered program of funding, grants and partnership agreements. You will engage in collaborative relationships with key stakeholder groups internal and external to Council.

Who are you?
You are a proven leader who is visionary, agile and able to deliver positive outcomes for the community. You have proven success in leading and empowering high performing, customer focused teams who collaborate across the organisation and achieve goals. You will be familiar with the local government operating environment and have recognised success in identifying, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Graduate qualifications in public policy, commerce, management, economic development, community development or other relevant field are expected. Strong people leadership and the ability to think strategically and be visionary are preferred over technical capability in a particular field.
