Reporting to the Director City Planning and Community Services, the Manager Development Services will be instrumental in managing the Departments move to a digital / paperless process with the aim of putting Bayside at the forefront of high quality planning processes. Furthermore the Manager Development Services will be responsible for providing empowering leadership to enhance team performance and customer service output to enhance positive experiences for their community. This is a high profile role in Council with the responsibility of providing concise, succinct and factual reports to the Councillors. Furthermore, the Manager Development Services will be tasked with building stronger partnerships and collaboration across all of Council and with external stakeholders and community groups.
Bayside City Council is seeking a confident, empowering and analytical Manager who has proven technical expertise in Statutory Planning / Development Planning within Local Government. Furthermore, Bayside is seeking a leader who will genuinely add value to their organisation and who has recognised success in change management and in developing and implementing customer and digital improvement plans to strengthen service delivery. Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders will also be key to this role. Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning, Building Surveying or associated fields is expected.
