Reporting to the General Manager Governance and Engagement, and working closely with the CEO, this position will be responsible for leading corporate and democratic governance and delivering corporate strategy within Council. The Manager Governance and Corporate Strategy will provide a high level of governance expertise, strategic direction and inspirational leadership to their team and across all areas of Council. Building strong relationships, developing a culture underpinned by good governance and leading an integrated approach to corporate strategy will be critical in this role.
Leading the implementation and transition to the new principles based Local Government Act will be a key priority, alongside the forthcoming Council elections and the opportunity to on-board any new elected members. The City of Darebin are seeking a governance professional who is an established leader with the strategic capacity to lead our corporate strategy and integrated planning framework, whilst working collaboratively with a range inf internal and external stakeholders.
