Moonee Valley City Council is seeking dynamic, contemporary people-leaders to support the vision of MV2040. Following an extensive organisational review, we are realigning how we work to deliver for our community. We are implementing a leadership model which serves the organisation and community from the perspectives of three key functions: Think, Do and Enable. MVCC is now seeking a Manager City Safety & Amenity to help improve community outcomes and ensure the organisation can deliver on the exciting ambitions in MV2040.

Reporting to the Director Enabling Services, the Manager City Safety & Amenity will lead a diverse range of regulatory and compliance functions including City Compliance, Parking Control, Environmental Health, Construction Compliance, Business Support & Appeals and School Crossing Supervisors. This function is a key point of contact for the community and you will further enhance a customer service centered approach in the context of modern regulatory practice. Leading a highly capable team of specialists, you will work closely with a range of stakeholders to deliver consistent, compliant and responsive community outcomes with a focus on improving overall service effectiveness and efficiencies.

You have proven leadership skills and are renowned for enhancing culture, performance and collaboration, while driving innovation and continuous improvement across a diverse workforce. Your technical experience spans service and operations improvement projects and you demonstrated sound regulatory leadership skills, and a strong risk lens. Your community values and engaging nature ensures you develop relationships with key external stakeholders, including contractors, and enables effective collaboration with key internal stakeholders to drive improvement. You pride yourself on your stakeholder management skills and political acumen and are excited by the opportunity to take this well regarded function to an industry leading standard!
