To support a major implementation project, the opportunity has arisen for an astute Management Accountant to join the team on a fixed term contract for 18 months to assist in an increase workload brought about by the project.
About the Role
This role exists to provide consistent and accurate financial analysis and reporting on business unit financial performance. This role will partner with a number of key stakeholders within the wider Senior Executive group.
- Preparation and monitoring of individual business unit budgets - ensuring appropriate forecasts and targets are reported.
- Preparation of periodic reports in collaboration with the BFMs
- Identification of key financial risk and compliance issues and establishing strategies to manage these risks
- Perform ad hoc financial modelling and analysis of business and client initiatives
- Participate in project related activities as required
We are looking for a candidate who is competent in embracing the challenges of a new role and who can independently navigate new systems and new reporting requirements in a relatively short timeframe. Ideally you will have experience in a similar role having been responsible for assisting a Senior Finance Business partner on reporting on business unit financial performance. You will have a strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and analysis function, with experienced gained in another large complex, corporate environment. Ideally within financial services. A degree in a relevant discipline - Accounting or Finance is essential and ideally you will be CPA or CA qualified with a minimum of 3 years commercial experience or near completion.
