Davidson are looking for an Help Desk support- Level -2 to join our client within the Govt Space for an initial 5 month contract

Role: IT Helpdesk - Level 2 - Multiple positions
Location: Brisbane CBD
Duration: Initial 5 month

Role brief:

  • The installation, maintenance and support of the systems using technologies like
      • Desktop & Mobile Hardware
      • Antivirus
      • Network fundamentals TCP/IP, LAN, WAN
      • Scripting technologies
  • Monitoring and Alerting Tools Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
  • Setting up accounts for new users
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology
  • Analytical and problem-solving activities for the maintenance and support of a large and complex Windows network environment

About You:

  • Significant experience working in an IT Service Desk (Level 2) within the Govt space or large enterprises.
  • Experience using ITSM Ticketing tools (e. g. Service Now, Remedy) or similar ticketing systems to manage and track incidents
  • Sound understanding of customer support, operations, and processes
  • Able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbally, with key stakeholders, leadership, partners, team members, other organizations, and customers
  • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases and network security concepts and tools is required
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office application suite including MS Outlook
  • Experience with multi-platform Windows O/S required
  • Active Directory, and Exchange preferred
  • Solid analytical/cognitive skills to troubleshoot complex and technical problems
