  • Take this Renowned Road Safety Function to the Next Level
  • Beautiful Geelong based role in Victoria

At the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) their mission is to be the world's leading social insurer, and to keep all Victorians safe on our roads. The TAC are passionate about their purpose and their vision, which is crystal clear - 'people's life and health should never be the price we pay for using our roads'. This is why the organisation is taking a bold new approach to Road Safety, one that will use global insights and new ideas to push down trauma in Victoria. They support the careers and wellbeing of staff, which is evidenced in their engagement survey results showing 96% of employees felt proud to work for the TAC.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this newly created executive role will form a critical part of the TAC leadership team and take responsibility for overseeing investments and programs in a range of areas that contribute to reducing road trauma. Leading the Road Safety division, you will drive a range of TAC initiatives both directly as well as with a collaborative network of road safety partners, including agencies, research institutions and stakeholders. An influential role, you will be exposed to high levels of government and the TAC Board and provide evidence and advice as to seriously improving activities to prevent people being killed or seriously injured on our roads in Victoria.

Recognised as a subject matter expert in Road Safety, you bring a demonstrated experience in this field and appreciate the academic, policy and operational dynamic in this area. Highly regarded for your impressive interpersonal skills, you are able to build rapport and credibility with a diverse range of stakeholders and have demonstrated your leadership in developing and implementing Road Safety strategies and initiatives. As a values driven leader, you will be known for your collaborative approach and genuine commitment to developing staff and leading high performing teams.
