The Strategy, Planning and Transformation (SPT) Group has been established as a key part of Queensland Rail's new structure. Led by the Group Executive, Strategy, Planning and Transformation (SPT), the group is accountable for a diverse and exciting portfolio that span's strategy, enterprise-wide change, digital transformation and integrated planning. This includes considerations and partnerships on significant projects such as Inland Rail, Cross River Rail, B2N and the 2032 Olympic bid, and ensuring QR has an influential voice at the table.

About the Role

Reporting into the Group Executive (SPT), the Group Senior Manager, Transformation is accountable for leading, influencing and driving transformation across Queensland Rail. Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing the Enterprise Transformation Office, its capability and competence, and best-practice approach to change management, risk and governance strategies, processes and tools.
  • Supporting QR's transition from a functional to dual business unit structure, and facilitating integrated planning and execution across the Business Units and Group.
  • Building a collaborative and consultative approach to transformation that encourages unity and shared purpose and success.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be able to draw on experience gained in large complex organisations (private or public sector), and have a transport or industrial operating focus involving infrastructure, capital equipment, and large, industrialised and technically skilled workforces. You will have a strong appreciation for contemporary change management strategies that identify opportunities, and provide frameworks for enterprise-wide transformation whilst managing risks appropriately. You will have a strategic mindset, and ability to translate complex concepts to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. This includes the ability to negotiate, influence and build relationships that encourages collaboration and shared-purpose.
